HaLloWeEN!

Meet Cinderella

Meet Prince Charming

**This morning Brielle informed me she was so excited to be Cinderella and her daddy to be her prince charming! This was news to both Josh and I! I figured Josh could just wear his suit. Josh said "Prince Charming does not wear suits" WHAT???? What do PRINCES wear then? He ran to Kmart as soon as he got home, and thanks to the womens department he had a PRINCE costume! He even had a sword! I didn't want to be the only LAMO and not dress up so I called a friend in the ward who has 5 girls, and she, of course, had a costume!**

Meet Fairy Godmother

And Meet Belle

The royal family loaded up in their horse drawn carriage that I, as the fairy godmother, magically summoned with my magic wand! They then went to the church for a trunk or treat and went from royalty to beggers to get candy!

I was so pleased with the way the hair turned out! I was absolutely stumped on how I could imitate hairdo's done with "Long, digital, drawn, hair" with my girls short, fine hair! Belle was especially a stress for me as it curls all the way down her back! I figured it out though, and I was so excited! I thought it looked a lot like hers! Josh said it looked like a mullet! Whatever Josh! It is totally BELLE

And Cinderella was fairly easy! Brielle LOVED getting all gussied up! She loved the sparkle makeup and the princess hair! Later in the evening Josh told me he was afraid our girls would look under dressed for Halloween, since we use these dresses for dress-ups! I just looked at him and said "Really? With me as their mom?" I couldn't believe he would think I wouldn't go all out!
The royal family! Josh said he wanted to write on his shirt "My dad is the CARPET KING!" He is air to Intermountain Carpet Country! There might be a royal battle though between the brothers! I will be cheering David on!

I think prince charming is supposed to end up with the princess! What about the fairy godmothers happiness? The princess always gets the happy ending! Tonight we shared our prince!

This is what Hope looked like by the end of the night! We gave them free reign on the candy, and Hope couldn't believe that we just kept opening the candy she continued to bring us! She laughed and clapped everytime, waiting for us to tell her NO!
Being a PRINCESS is HARD work! Brielle didn't take long before she zonked out!

PumPKiNs

The girls loved painting pumpkins. We thought that would be easier for them than carving! It was a little messy! Hope had paint everywhere!

Fawson Look-alike Meter

I uploaded 2 photos and one said 3% like me and this one says 8%! I have sworn since her birth that she was Joshs' twin. I still don't believe these results! Everybody knows Hope looks like Josh......Right? Everybody except the "State of the art technology" at the look-alike meter place!

Fawson Look-alike Meter

So I thought this was a load of crap to be honest so I uploaded another pic to see if I got the same results. Low and behold I did! I guess Brie is an equal mix! We always said she was a good combination.

Where a kid can be a kid......

What does that mean exactly???? I remember hearing this as a child and dying to go there not because I could "be a kid" but because they make it look like the most *magical* place. Tonight as a parent I realized the meaning of the logo "Where a kid can be a kid" and realized it is not necessarily aimed at the children, it is aimed for the parents. I didn't have to tell my kids NO! once tonight. We laughed, we ran, we squirted water gun inside, we rode the carousel 14 times, we climbed on the toys, we stuffed our faces with pizza, and we forgot to use our indoor voices (oops)! And that makes for a fantastic night for parent and child. That's what the logo means, because tonight at Chuck E Cheese's we were at a place were my kids could just be a kid.

Yes, that is my Hope! Yes, she is getting big! She seems big and older to me everyday! Yes, I am crying inside!

thankful for my BEAUTIFUL BABIES!

My friend Tiffany had this baby generator on her blog! The baby tuned out a little possessed looking, it was really funny. So out of boredom from Joshs affair with FABLE (Jodi, and Bethany I'm sure you understand!) I thought I would see what our kids looked like..........

Drum roll please...................................

Thank Heavens my kids are so much cuter!!!!! I told you Tiff! I'm glad I didn't do this before I married Josh! Yikes!

Brielle plays hide and seek!

Brielle loves to play hide and seek but hides in the same place over and over. Under the blankets on our bed. Here is a little peek...

birthday videos

Hope couldn't even open her own presents, all the kids kind of took over. Then when it came to blowing out the candles, once again the kids all were a little overwhelming. The poor girl is so timid that it scared her to death.

Party Time!

Here is the HAPPY BIRTHDAY Girl! Yeah, I know she looks like a rag-a-muffin! What can I say, I was too busy making a cake! So, on the ONE day that my girl is supposed to look like a princess at her dress up party we didn't quite make it to the hair! GO FIGURE! but she had a cake!

****DO NOT STUDY THIS CAKE, AND WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT BLOW UP THIS PICTURE! IT IS FAR FROM PERFECT, BUT SHE IS 2!****

And oh the cake! See I have this problem that I think I can do whatever I want. I have seen all these FABULOUS fondant cakes and I thought 'I have to make one of those cakes'! Have I ever used fondant? YES, a little on Bries barbie cake, like for the trim and stuff. Have I ever covered a whole cake in fondant? NO! This is where most people would take a class or something and learn to do it! Not me, I just think I can! I'm like the little engine that could! So we end up having stress and drama! The party was at 4:00 pm, it was 2:30 and I still had 2 square cakes and 2 round cakes (the square ones were at least stacked and frosted with the first layer) I was in my pajamas and hadn't showered, I still had a fruit dip to make, and I ran out of the regular frosting that you put on first! I couldn't get the fondant on the cake without it tearing! Thank heavens for FRIENDS! Lan, my neighbor, came over and helped! I ended up dumping a ton of powdered sugar out to make it not stick and it worked. Lan made more frosting and frosted the round cake which I had completely given up on, and low and behold we finished the cake at 3:15! BIG THANKS LAN! You saved the cake! As I transported everything from my house to the community room Katrina made the fruit dip for me which wouldn't have gotten done because I didn't have time! THANKS KATRINA!
The kids loved the little balls and I laughed when I saw little holes from sneaky little fingers. It was like this all the way around! Oh yeah, I almost forgot to tell the best part of the cake! Hope helped put these little circles on handing them to me so carefully! BRIELLE TOLD ME IT WAS THE GREATEST CAKES OF ALL! OF COURSE THAT MADE ME FELL LIKE I HAD SUCCEEDED!
Here is some of the gang all dressed up! Little Joseph was the only boy, but we were sure glad he came!
And the best part.......
I was not very prepared, we ran out of wrapping paper! In my haste to get the cake made, I turned the wrapping over to Josh! He finished wrapping the present with pictures of women! I was so surprised by this because he NEVER lust after women. I'm always saying "She is gorgeous, or look how hot she look" and he snuffs it off....... Then to see this was a CRACK UP! It really made the party for me! When I woke up giddy, I realized how much I LOVE TO CELEBRATE BIRTHDAYS! Thanks to all our great friends who came to play with us and for the gifts that they weren't supposed to bring. Thanks family for the presents you sent! It was fun for Hope to get a little bit of home!

I have videos to come.....we are having a hard time with our internet connection cutting in and out. So, tomorrow after Josh calls and give the internet company what for I will try for the bazillianth time to upload the videos. I am so sad that the family couldn't be there I want you all to get in on the action!

2 years ago.......

2 years ago at about 11:30 pm I was trying to decide if I was in "REAL" Labor finally. After having contractions from 25 weeks on it was hard to say. Granted they gradually got stronger and stronger, but by the end there were many nights I was up in pain.

2 years ago at midnight, after realizing the baby was coming just hours before my scheduled inductions we tried to decide what to do with Brie. Do we drive down to G-ville adding an extra 30 mins. to an already 40 mins. drive or do we wake up friends. We opted to drive to G-ville

2 years ago at about 12:30 am I was regretting this decision not even halfway to the hospital

2 years ago, almost 1:00 am I walked into the hospital dilated to a 5 and still pretty calm

2 years ago, at about 1:45 am I got very frustrated when I couldn't get the epidural right away. Something to do with me not eating dinner or something I don't know, I was in a lot of pain. I was dilated to an 8 before I was relaxed for the night and able to sleep. Don't know how you moms do it natural.

2 years ago after about 3:00 am we slept pretty peacefully through the night despite the fact that I was in labor!

2 years ago at approximately 8:02 am a Beautiful baby GIRL with the cutest little head of hair (that I thought we would never have after bald little Brie) joined our family!

Hope McKell Fawson was 7 lbs. 1oz.
and 19 in. long

I love this picture because it show her cute little hair line. It started clear back in the middle of her head! luckily she was a girl and we could cover up her bald spot with a big ol' bow! Too bad daddy can't use that trick!

I LOVE YOU HOPEY GIRL!

I spoke too soon.......

Remember how I said I was grateful because Hope just colored on her body and not anywhere else? Yeah, I spoke too soon! Hope colored all over our floor with a SHARPIE! and this picture is after I have scrubbed. You're asking yourselves why I still have the markers within her reach..........yeah, I've been asking myself that all night too!
I finally got it off after scrubbing, and scrubbing, and scrubbing with magic eraser, windex, and comet!

What a little STINK!

I had grand plans for Hopes Two year old pictures! She LOVES to dress up so I thought it would be so cute to take little dress up pictures of her. I thought she would love it. Across the street there is a lot of long wild grass. I got her all dressed up, took Brielle to play at a friends, waited for the perfect lighting, and after her nap so she would be happy and this is how it went........

To my horror, they had just mowed the beautiful wild grass TODAY! There was dead clumps of grass everywhere! She decided to scream every time I pulled the camera out! Seriously! We managed to get some great scowls! I keep telling myself, it is ok this is just her stage of life! Oh my grand plans!

Here is what we came up with! Not great, but it will do! Just imagine this picture with great wild grass clear up to her knees.........................It would have been FANTASTIC!!!!

This is the birthday invitation! I have been planning this party for about a month now, and I realized that we didn't have any family to come to the party. I was so sad when I realized this. It was my first twinge of homesickness! I decided to still have a party and just invite all our friends!

"Heart Hair"

I found this hairstyle on "The story of a princess and her hair". You can link to it on my sidebar. Anyways, it kind of took a little while, but the whole time Brielle was so excited. "Your going to put a heart on my head?" she would ask. I would reply "Yep" then she would say "oh!" I think she was a little confused because we had the same conversation over and over. After it was done I went and got the mirror and took her in to show it to her. The first thing she said was

"OH, WE HAVE TO SHOW JENNIFER, AND ANGELA, AND DADDY" in that order. I promised her we would take a picture and show them on the computer! She decided that was ok, then ran over to show her friend Destiny. She obviously was very pleased with the Heart hair. I had to throw a pic of Hopes hair too, we tried a fun weave.
****on a side note, if any of you want to try the heart hair, I recommend starting with one triangle pony on the top, then splitting that in half to go to each of the sides so it actually connects and makes a heart. I thought of this after it was too late.

A day with our sweet HOPE!

Oh, my little Hope. What a girl she is. Here are some facts about my ALMOST 2 year old.

She loves 101 dalmatians, cinderella, but most of all TOY STORY! She loves toy story so much that when we went to play at others houses she would go straight for the woody doll, or the buzz lightyear. We some how have ended up with a Woody figurine, so if she stole your Woody I AM SO SORRY! I will mail it back to you, let me know if you are missing it! She automatically zones as soon as I turn it on. She also claps at the beginning of all of these shows.

When she gets upset, and you are not doing what she wants you to do she say "HEEEY!!!" Very demandingly.

she is very soft and gentle. She always has been. I have never had to worry about her around babies, or pets because she is just very tender and loving. It is not uncommon for her to just rub your back while your holding her. She will just lay on your shoulder while walking with her. My favorite is when she reaches up and strokes my cheek.

Hopey is very timid and a lot more reserved than we are used too. When swimming she clings to us most of the time. She only tries climbing out of the grocery cart when she sees Brie doing it. She has yet to RUN away from me. She sticks pretty closely to my side when we are out in public. Yet she has this silent confidence. I was outside the other day when she was napping, and I poked my head in to check on her and she was on the couch watching the TV she turned on all by herself! She wasn't scared that she couldn't find me, she just took care of herself. I felt horrible, as the motherhood guilt we all suffer from kicked in!

She still sits very still to get her hair done, although sometimes she cries in the beginning, she never tries to run away or shake her head.

Hope is in the "parrot" stage, and repeats almost EVERYTHING Brielle says. This means that I hear everything twice all day long! She still is a little hard to understand so it is nice to have Bries preface. Some of the words that she says VERY clearly are "Yeah, yay, NO! Hi, Bye, Daddy, Mommy, Ba-Ba, Baby, HEY!, ok, uh-oh, help, more, (and her newest CLEAR word) BELLA"
Hope follows Brielle everywhere, so when Brie is in trouble so is she. She has also started leaning on Brielle to get away from Mommy. One day after I had put her down for a nap she was crying and came running out straight into Brielles arms. Brie plays this up saying "It's ok Hopey, sometimes Mommy's mean." I LOVE that they have such a great relationship! I don't LOVE that they gang up agianst me. I'm guessing this is just the beginning!

Hopes favorite foods are string cheese, bannanas, peaches, salad, chicken nuggets, cheesy, and anything pasta! She still eats pretty good, and at least tries everything I give her. She doesn't eat everything I give her anymore, but she at least tries it. she still has a pretty sensitive tummy, and has thrown up quite a bit lately.

Yes, that is a Sharpie marker! She often gets caught with marker/pen drawing all over her body. She loves to color her body. She rarely colors on the walls and the tables though so I will look at the positive side. She also LOVES to rub lotion, diaper rash cream, shampoo, or soap all over her body. The diaper rash cream was definitely the hardest to get off!
Hope is great at cleaning up, and putting things in thier place. She definitely likes things tidy and picked up! She stille loves babies. That has been her favorite toy since about 5 mos. old.

I often hear Hope crying and go in to find a scene much like this one. She loves to undress and get in dress ups. The problem is she has a hard time getting her clothes off, and getting the dress ups on. So then when she gets stuck she cries.

As I said earlier, Hope has recently decided she want us to lay by her at bedtime. This is mostly just at naptime. I thinks she feels bad that she has to take a nap and Brie doesn't. However, she doesn't come fully out of her room very often. She will usually just open the door and peak out much like this. Sometimes she will sit right outside her door and wait for somebody to say she can come out. I love to see the difference in the girls in this aspect. Brielle would just come running full speed out of her room right to where we were. Hope is quite and kind of hides.

She has definitely hit the terrible two's and is often found doing things she shouldn't. She loves to play with this candle holder, and takes them out and stacks them up. When she cannot be found and hasn't been heard for awhile I usually find her in my closet playing with my shoes or.............
In the bathroom playing in the fingernail polish. Yes she is a total girl! She loves to have her nails painted. The other day she got a hold of my BLACK polish and painted her whole foot and her whole hand. She did pretty good and only got it on her body. I was very impressed that it wasn't EVERYWHERE!

I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE'D DO WITHOUT OUR SWEET BABY. SHE TAKES ON THE BABY OF THE FAMILY ROLE VERY WELL. WE LOVE HER SO MUCH! SHE ADDS SO MANY GREAT THINGS TO OUR FAMILY!
