Its FINALS Time!!!!

Josh has been studying and studying and studying some more. He has had the computer until midnight every night! This post is REEAALLY LOONNG! But it is all the stuff I have wanted to post while he has been MIA!

I learned from last semester that I needed to find thing to do with the girls to keep us all entertained. And I just planned on Josh being gone all the time. I think that this has helped. It doesn't seem like these finals are as bad as the last ones, but I think I was just more prepared for these ones.

Here are some things we have done to stay busy while Josh studied:

It was a rainy day, but it was really warm, so we went out and played in a HUGE mud puddle. The girls thought it was the coolest thing ever.
They were SO dirty after!!!! Look at that bath water! EWWW! It actually was a lot worse in person, the pic makes it look a lot better!
we went caterpillar hunting.

The girls carried around caterpillars in cups for a whole day. They loved them. Hope accidentally dumped hers out and then it got stepped on. She didn't even know forever, and would keep showing off her empty cup.

Brielle took hers to a BBQ and it got away (with the help of daddy, who of course felt bad for the caterpillar). Destiny still has hers and it just turned into a cocoon. I am blaming Josh that my girls don't get to experience this!

Brielle went out to find another one, and came back in hysterics. She had accidentally stepped on it and she was so sad. She cried for 20 mins, and still brings it up. She keeps saying "I'm sorry your dead mr. caterpillar"

We conned Josh into going to the park with us. We went to this park with play group and it was so amazing. I couldn't wait to take Josh. He had to study while we were there, but it was still a fun family activity.

There is a sand box at the park and Brie was digging and found these dinosaur bones.

Hope spends most of the time in the sand! she loves it!

What a little diva! She just kept on posing!

They love the swings! I love this park! There is so much for them to do! And I can stretch out on a blanket and rest!

Yesterday for family night we took a picnic to the school and ate outside the library. It wasn't near long enough, we needed like 4 more hours with our Joshy, but it was great!
Brielle is really into taking pictures for us!

So, there you go! That is what we have been up to lately! Not much, but still fun! We are getting packed and ready to head to UTAH for the summer! Josh is almost done with finals, and i can't believe our first year is over! It has flown by!

The easter loot!

Remember what I said about going overboard? Let's count them 1,2,3, FOUR! Yes, FOUR barbies. Josh came home with 4 princess barbies. He just couldn't decide which 2 were the most important, and he couldn't leave 2 behind. I have to admit they are very cute. The girls will LOVE them! They have a great girl daddy!

We usually hide the baskets, which we had to improvise this year. This year we're thinking we'll leave them out so we can sleep in. Hopefully they will be really entertained.

one of the many reasons I love my hubby...

after 8 hours of studying he comes home exhausted. He knows I'm exhausted too. He plays a few levels of Mario world with Brie and takes off to do the put off easter shopping.......and he was excited about it! Now I just have to worry he'll go over board (which I know he will, he is good at that)!

Oh how I love him!

Off to take a steaming hot bubble bath!

Easter Egg Hunt

We went to the law wives easter egg hunt today. It was AMAZING. It was the highlight of my girls week. They had so much fun. Brielle was still talking about it when I was brushing her teeth to put her to bed.

Brielle could hardly stop long enough to let me get a picture. She just ran, looking for eggs.

I only had to show Hope one egg and she was off, she didn't even realize that there was candy in the eggs until closer to the end. When she realized the value of the eggs she wanted more and more. After we were done and we were inside eating she kept going out saying "eggs, eggs"
She was sure if she just looked hard enough she'd find more!

Stopping to ponder which direction would be the most beneficial!

Hope walked over eggs in places like this...

To get to eggs in places like this! I was astounded at how well she actually found them. There was an egg clear up in a tree she saw and was so excited about it when Josh got it down for her.

Great job Liz and Lan on the planning. It was flawless!

We Decorated the Easter Bunny's house for family night on monday! The girls absolutely loved it, despite the fact that we didn't read the instuctions and realized a little too late that there was a stand so that it wouldn't fall apart! This is definitely a new, fun tradition. I think we will start doing gingerbread houses too. Maybe!
Don't you love the goldfish additon?

The innocence of a child...

Brielle fell asleep on the couch tonight at like 4:00, so of course she was up late and wanted to sleep on the couch so she could watch cartoons. She seemed a little sad, so I talked with her a little then, was going to bed myself.

I asked her are you sure you are going to sleep on the couch, and she was sure. I just randomly said "ok well let me lock the doors"

She said "Yeah mom so we can keep Hopey in, sometimes she like to run away in the morning"

I chuckled. She was not in the least bit concerned of someone coming in in the night and snatching my cute little princess right off the couch. No, no. That was just my thoughts. Her concern was only with KEEPING HOPE IN!

I didn't tell her my real fear, I calmly said "Yep honey that is a really big problem. What are we going to do with that girl!"

The Ball!

We went to the Barristers (sp?) ball almost a week ago. This is a basically prom for the Law students! It was a MUCH NEEDED break and so much fun! We loved getting all dressed up, or I loved it! Both of the girls made me dance with them before we left. Brielle was a little bit sad that she didn't get to go. At one point she even said "but I have a pretty dress!"

She begged me all afternoon while I was getting ready, then I finally just said "Brie, please just be a good girl and let us go have fun." Then she just said "Fine, i will stay and play with Ernie!"
I didn't hear another word! Ernie was so sweet to VOLUNTEER his babysitting services! We were so grateful. Thank you Ernie!

Tim and Lan, were one of the couples we spent a lot of time with. This is natural since we spend a lot of time with them on a day to day basis! We are so thankful for their friendship and to have such great neighbors! Love you guys!

We went out to eat first! It was called Rockafellers and it was done by the beach. It was just fun to be with everybody and talk. Josh looks thrilled doesn't he? He really did have a good time.

This is at the restaurant as well, it was a really pretty view!

And then we hit the dance floor. It was so much! We haven't danced like this I think since we were dating, it had been awhile!
And of course at dances like this you always have fun with the girls!
Lan and I!

Me, Lan and Victoria
Whose GRAND idea was this????( Victoria!) yes, they were almost dropping me!

Funny story....

****UPDATE: Josh informed me that I made him sound mean. I felt so bad when he said this that I have to post an explanation. He was never mean about it, I guess I am just not very good about writing expression. And he added that he always admitted that he was the one who probably lost it. I'm SOOOOO sorry babe, I never meant to make you sound so mean! Please forgive me!

Remember the lost cell phone? Go here if you have no idea what I'm talking about! Yeah, so clear back in January Josh and I had MANY conversations going something like this......

Me: "Babe, I really have no clue where my phone is are you sure you haven't seen it?"

Josh: "No! I told you, I haven't seen your phone."

Me: "Are you sure you didn't take it with you somewhere?" ( he has been known to do this. Josh has always called his dad 'pockets' because everything ended up in his pockets, and it seems Josh has inherited the trait.)

Josh: "Yes, I am sure!"

And after we had this same conversation like 100 times, over a week period of time he finally said

"Nat, I didn't take your phone then, and I didn't take it now. I don't know where it is, stop asking me!"

So I quit asking.

Here is the funny part. The other night, Joshs friend and a member of our church, came over and knocked on our door, with the LONG LOST PHONE IN HAND! He said he found it in his car. I couldn't believe my eyes. The last time I had my phone was a Saturday night. Sunday morning Josh had a meeting and He rode with this friend. He did take my phone and he did loose it, he obviously didn't remember taking so he really didn't know where it was but I just think it is funny he really took it.

Watch out Fawson family we have a NEW generation of "POCKETS"!
