This is the first time Brie has had fun dips, and as you can see she loved it. Green was everywhere! She was really sad when the green wore off her fingers!
This cracked me up because Brie can't do this! She pulls her tongue in and just blows her lips. When Hope copied me after I did it I couldn't stop laughing. It was hilarious!

Happy Birthday to ME!
Friday, February 22, 2008
Today I tried to take some pictures of Hope. It was long over due, and I had to do some for somebody else so I thought all the stuff was up and I might as well. Hope had a different idea entirely. I could not get a smile out of her no matter what I did. She kept turning her head, or crawling away. I thought she would like the feathers and think it was fun. She was throwing them
This is finally the best smile I could get. Its not even a full smile, but what do you do. I just love all of them because it was so funny trying to get her to smile. To make matters worse the other little girl I shot was younger and hammed it up for the camera.

Heartbreak # 3
Let me start off my story by giving you a little history. For some reason I knew when I was pregnant with Brie that she would be bald. I just knew. I don't know if God was preparing me for the baldness, but I knew this baby girl would come out with absolutely no hair. Sure enough it was true. She was bald. I waited and waited for her to get hair, and finally about one, I could do a tiny little ponytail on top. Her hair grew faster after this, and it was starting to get long and thick. I was thrilled. I gave her a cute little haircut, and trimmed up the back, and cut her some little bangs. This was in August. The next day she took a pair of scissors to her bangs and cut them clear to the scalp.

I was devastated, needless to say. This was my first heartbreak. I just didn't know how we were ever going to get her hair to a normal state again. I made the decision to chop it so her bangs and front portion of hair could catch up quicker. I was happy and it was a good decision, it turned out to be a cute little hair cut, and her hair still looked fairly healthy. Sometime shortly after we cut it, she cut it again. This time not such a big deal just a small piece in the back, and not noticeable at all. I put her in time out and honestly didn't think she would ever do it again. Both times after she had done it, it was right after I had cut it. So I took her somewhere to get it done and told her " Only Candice gets to cut your hair, no one else ok" She seemed like she understood.
Oh, how shocked and mad I was when she came out today and said " I cut my hair" I said " Brielle you better not have cut your hair" " Yeah, mom i cut my hair." I looked at her hair and wanted to cry. Instead I spanked her for the second time in her entire life. I really don't like to spank, but I didn't know what else to do, time out obviously didn't work. This was the worst of the three, and this time I truly and honestly don't know how long it will take for her hair to recover.

This is the clump of hair I found on the bedroom floor. It was so sad for me to gather. I really don't think you can get the picture of just how much is there, but take it from me there was a lot of hair. Many of you may think I am being dramatic about this, but I honestly won't be able to do anything with her hair but leave it down. That is going to get boring. On a positive note, at least it is at the bottom, and will grow the fastest as long as I keep her hair short.

Meanwhile Josh is having a mid life crisis and decides he is too bald so yes he shaved his head. Gone, completely gone. This family is having serious hair issues!

HapPy vALeNtIneS DaY!
For Valentines I pulled out all my cheesiness I could muster. We were really cheap, and didn't want to pay for a babysitter, so I just made dinner for us here. I cut out paper hearts and hung them from my ceiling in my room with the help of the little ones. Brie thought it was pretty cool and had to have them in her room too. I wanted it to be a surprise for josh after we had the kids in bed, but Brie ruined it for me. She was so excited that the first thing she said to josh when he came in was "Daddy I have hearts in my room." Josh of course had no idea what she was talking about and said "sweetie show me" She then took him in to show him the paper heart wonderland. After he made a fuss over her room she said " There in mommy's room too." It was cute how excited she got.
I thought this picture was appropriate for the holiday. This morning Hope got in my lingerie drawer and adorned herself. She walked around like this all morning and we couldn't help but laugh.

Brielles first prayer
Little Brielley said her first prayer all by her big self tonight. It was sooooo cute. It was for dinner and I told her to come over and say the prayer. She started out "Heavenly Father" and I jumped in to help her out and said " Thank you for this food". She stopped and put her hand up and said "no mama, I do it" She then continued to say bless our bodies, thanks for movies, and something else I didn't understand and then finished it with an Amen. After taking a few bites of her food she said " Mom I say another prayer" I giggled a little bit and said ok kind of annoyed that she was trying to put off finishing her peaches. She then said "Heavenly Father thank you for Mommy, Daddy, and Hope Amen." It was so cute, and sweet and innocent. She was so proud, and I just loved to hear what her little mind was going to come up with.

The bully at funland!
We had quite the eventful afternoon at Mcdonalds, yes I did say Mcdonalds. My sisters and I were enjoying our lunch when we heard a child start to cry. I automatically peeled my ears, as all moms would, to find out if it was one of mine. It wasn't so I resumed my conversation. a second later there was another cry and this time I was not as fortunate. I looked up to see little Brielle being pounded involuntarily over and over up against the edge of the bubble. She, of course was hysterical and I immediately went into a frenzy. At first I tried to get her to come down the slide but when I realized that it was impossible for her to get past her bully I started to take off my shoes to come to the rescue. Meanwhile my sisters continued to watch the battle and later reported they say Brie get punched three times in the face. My poor baby! By the time I got up there the Bully had already gone down to her mom. Brielle was so happy to see me and it took me a little while to get her calmed down. As I cuddled her I listened to the other the girl, who by the way was 5 or 6 and twice Bries size, tell her mom that she wouldn't quit hitting her. This is when I got upset. I know that my child is not an angel, and I very well knew that she probably had some part in this little fight, But the mother of the other child stood right next to me and watch her little girl pushing Brielle into the side of the bubble over and over. Who wouldn't stop hitting who? When I got Brie down the slide and calmed down I took her over to say sorry to the the girl. The mom looked at her daughter and said " Emily you better say sorry too!" I was livid. You're dang right she better say sorry. My sisters had to stick up for me and Brie(cuz I'm too big of a chicken) And told the mom that Brielle wasn't the only one doing the hitting when thats all the little girl would say. Afterwards we got the full story from my niece, thank heavens she was there! The bully wouldn't let Brielle down the slide and kicked her. For those of you who know Brie, you know she isn't going to take that from anybody so she hit her back. Which, at this point I'm not proud of. Then realizing the bully wasn't going to let her through Brie turned around to leave and the little girl came after her, and that is what we witnessed in the bubble. After seeing her go through what she did I wish she would have hit her again, and I didn't feel one little bit bad that she hit her the first time. It was just awful, and I'm glad that I was able to keep my cool and not get into with the mom, because I was pretty ticked at her indifference.

My baby with her baby!

My sweet little Hope was so happy today. She just had so much to say and was just jabbering, which isn't unusual for home, but when she gets around a lot of people she is kind of quiet. Today she was talking more than normal though, and I was so excited when she didn't freeze when I pulled the camera out. She has loved babies since she was about 5 months old and Brie got a baby for her birthday. She loved it so much Grandma Barb had to go out and buy her her very own. She has continued that love as you can see in the video, she is quite the little mother. Brielle actually took a nap today, and it was so much fun just to spend some one on one time with Hope. She is growing up and developing the cutest little personality!
