a little delayed.....but we made it!

We finally made it to Utah! We left missouri at about 11:00 and we were ready to drive straight through the night and get to G-ville around 9:00 the next morning! We had a few little bumps in the road.....

Josh still swears that light was green! We had I-80 in our sight, and it was our last stretch. We were very blessed and protected and nobody was hurt. It could have been a lot worse. We are so grateful for the people of Lincoln Nebraska who saved us this day! There was a lady who witnessed it who took me and the girls in her van, then drove us to the hotel. Tow trucks only have room for one person, is it just me or is this really lame? We were grateful for the ride.

The girls were excited to stay at another hotel and go swimming again. The was a tire place who also gave Josh a ride back to the hotel, then they came and got him when it was done. They aligned our car (as best as they could) For FREE! We then came to a tough decision. Our insurance said we had to get all the work done at the same place. We knew if they started into the body that we wouldn't make it to the wedding. So we said a prayer and drove the last 900 miles to Utah. We made it safe thanks to our Father in Heaven.

We were comparing our journey across the country to the pioneers. Here is what we figured they brought with them:

-Food
-clothing (maybe one or two changes a piece, maybe)
-Sleeping gear
-Hunting supplies
-Food, this was probably the main thing!

Heres what was packed in our not-so-covered-wagon:
-Dvds
-2 Dvd players
- xbox 360
-wii
-radar detector
-2 cell phones
-toys
-books
-laptop
-camera
-video camera
- at least 3 weeks worth of clothes for each of us
-cds
-book on tape
-medicines
- make up and hair stuff
- lots of shoes
- lots of JUNK FOOD!

We came to the conclusion our trips were VERY different. We are grateful for being able to stop in hotels and sleep in beds instead of camping around a camp fire! Thank you MODERN day AMERICA!

Wow! What a crazy trip. It's so funny that you were comparing your trip to the pioneers, because we did the same thing as we drove across.

Josh admitted to me on Saturday that he is the perfect "GIRL Dad". This is further proof that he is right. What a sweet husband.

Welcome home for the summer! We are so happy to be able to see you once in a while. The girls are even cuter than when you last left (if that is possible)!
